After Reading Les Misérables  普一2 39號   莫昀凡

In 1815 Jean Valjean was released from prison, he went to the church and met a bishop who forgave him and gave him silverware. Years later, a woman, Fantine was fired from a factory belonging to Mayor Madeline. Because of some reason, Inspector Javert decided to send her to prison, but soon Madeline saved Fantine's life. He also promised to bring her daughter Cosette back, but Fantine died soon. When Madeline decided to go to the town where Cosette was, Javert came to arrest Madeline, who was originally the criminal Jean Valjean. Two days later Valjean escaped and brought Cossete a new life. After some years,a group of people stood out for revolution, Marius was one of it. Cosette was falling in love with Marius at first sight since they met each other on the street. Jean Valjean noticed in a letter from Marius, but Marius wrote that he might die the next day in the letter, so Jean Valjean decided to save Marius's life. After the battle, the whole group died except Marius. He was married to Cosette days later. Marius soon realized that his life was saved from Jean

Valjean, but Jean Valjean died a few days later, with a smile on his face.

After reading this story, I feel that Inspactor Javert wasn't a bad guy. What he had done was just do his job, and I think there is kindness in everyone's heart, and the thing that did will show up in the end, Therefore, we have to do more good things to make everybody live in a better world, where people help each other in their own way, just like Jean Valjean. He did his best to help Cosette for a better life. As for Inspector Javert, Valjean hated him, but set him free in the battlefield. Valjean even ran into the dangerous battle to save Marius's life without having any reward. We have to learn from Jean Valjean for helping people even if we can't save others' life, but we can do it in a smaller way like picking up the garbage from the ground or giving the seat to

those in need without any reward.
